Filming technique:

Zoom: In general, you don't want to be too tight or too wide; you want anywhere from the entire zone to half the ice in the shot. This will allow you to see every player during play in either the offensive, neutral, or defensive zone. The only time a tight zoom is recommended is for face-offs, then slowly zoom back out after the face-off result.

Smooth camera motion: A great tripod is the key to this.  Because the camera inevitably moves so much during filming, a solid, reliable tripod is one of the single most important components in filming a great video.

When to start and stop the camera: Only start and stop on period changes. You should have at least 3 files to upload.

Scoreboards: Film the scoreboards at all of the stoppages listed above: at each period change, after each goal, and at the beginning of each Power Play.

At the end of the match, you'll have 10 or so files to upload to VidSwap.
