1.0 Introduction


1.1  Requirements:

• Video must contain timestamps, so source must be either from Pixellot’s system or Replay.
• Cannot be synced to videos that were uploaded manually, even if source it Pixellot’s system.


2.0  PlayerMaker Integration

VidSwapʼs PlayerMaker Integration enables customers to import Playmaker sensor data as tags on VidSwap playlists. This enables PlayerMaker sensor data to be connected to Pixellot video and enables coaches to

filter for specific PlayerMaker events on their VidSwap timeline.


2.1  Feature User Flow

2.1.1  Export PlayerMaker XML

Drag XML file to be imported. 

2.2  Player Matching

PlayerMaker does not store robust player information which means that users have to enter player names in a specific format. The matching between PlayerMaker athletes and VidSwap athletes follows the following order: 

1. Jersey Number: If the jersey number is included in playerʼs name, VidSwap system will match to the jersey number on the teamʼs roster. Jersey number must be presented in the following format:
a. First Last (1)
2. First & Last Name: If a first and last name is detected, a case-insensitive search will be done based on first and last name. A three-part name will use the first word as first name.
3. Last Name: If only one name is presented, a last name search will be performed.

2.3  Mapped Tags

At initial release, there are three PlayerMaker events that will be imported onto the VidSwap playlist:

  1. Touches
    1. Team
    2. Result: successful
    3. Type: touch/pass
    4. Athlete
  2. Passes
    1. From Athlete
    2. To Athlete
    3. Result: complete
Note: There are multiple pass tag types in the PlayerMaker data set and some of these will create multiple passes based on pass network. One tag could include a pass from Player A to Player B and Player B to Player C – this will result in multiple VidSwap tags being created.
  1. Possessions
    1. Team
    2. Result  

2.4  Timestamp Mapping

PlayerMaker tags are mapped to Pixellot video footage using existing timestamp APIs.
The timestamp mapping API will be used by default but Pixellot You videos use a different timestamp API:  https://video-timestamps.prod.pixellot.tv
If no timestamp mapping can be completed, tags will be created using original offset from PlayerMaker data.
